About

the blog

This blog is meant to project thoughts on God, Philosophy, and Fantasy Football.

The scripture reference on the header was purposely left as just that – a reference.

…yes, if you call out for insight
and raise your voice for understanding,
if you seek it like silver
and search for it as for hidden treasures,
then you will understand the fear of the Lord
and find the knowledge of God.

Proverbs 2:3-5

By leaving the reference alone, I have put my readers in a situation where they must look up the passage on their own, thus practicing the purpose of the blog: To encourage the search for true insight and understanding.

(Reoriented on 12/14/2009. Prior to that the blog was used for similar purposes, but more as a personal journal and collection of thoughts)

me

I am a Religious Studies and Philosophy undergraduate student at Arizona State University. I live in Tempe, Arizona with three other young men (Paul, Jon, and Justin). I am a member of Roosevelt Community Church in Downtown Phoenix and enjoy teaching the 4 to 7-year-olds every other month, as well as dialoguing with individuals about Philosophy & Theology at the First Friday Artwalk downtown. For work I supervise a K-6 tutoring program at a Salvation Army youth center in South Phoenix. I am single, but am looking forward to having a family in the future if it is in the Lord’s plans. My favorite leisurely pleasure at the moment is taking part in Fantasy Football on espn.com (Go, Shaw Butte Scorpions!).
